When wagering by telephone, your call is toll free and your wagers can be placed through live operators, touchtone or voice activated systems.  The touchtone system or ATAB (Automated Telephone Account Betting) allows NYCOTB ADW Account holders to place their wagers without speaking to a live representative.  The voice activated system, or VoiceBet, enables our Account holders to use voice commands from any telephone or key commands from any touch-tone telephone to check account balances, to place wagers or to review bets.

Remember that you must be at least 18 years of age or older to open a NYCOTB ADW Account.  Advance Deposit Wagering is not available to residents of states where account wagering is prohibited.  ADW Account holders that are residents of California, Florida and Kansas cannot wager on tracks in their applicable home state.  Also, New Jersey residents cannot wager through their NYCOTB ADW Account when physically present in New Jersey.

* What's the difference between track prices and surcharge prices? Under the law of the State of New York, a surcharge of 5% has been imposed on pari-mutuel cities with off-track winnings.  The 5% surcharge and any related breakage is divided between the Corporation and the County in which the New York Track is located.  Please note that Teletheaters and internet and telephone wagering are without a surcharge and pay track prices.
